UK Beef exports to US, for the first time in 20 years!

For the first time in 20 years, the US has lifted a ban on British beef imports in March this year –  resulting in a new market of £66m.

Along with 3 other companies, our clients Foyle Food Group are among the first to be cleared to export beef to the US.  We couldn’t be happier about this move forwards in the UK meat industry, particularly as we’ve been directly involved in the successful outcome for Foyle Foods.

OUR WORK FOR FOYLE FOOD GROUP

Following on from a previous project for Foyle Food, creating a new clean gut room (see case study), we’ve recently been working closely with them to upgrade their slaughter hall.  American food standards required these specific upgrades to import from the UK, so the successful outcome of the project means Foyle Foods high-quality beef will soon be enjoyed by the USA!
